pick you and your cycles up and transfer you on to the next point
for a small charge, the same goes also if for any reason you need to
finish the route early we could pick you up with your cycles and
take you to the nearest train station or to your car at the start or

per bag - per movement
Please don't try the
usual cramming as much as is humanly possible into as few a bags as
possible and pushing them to bursting point we will only mark your
bag as heavy and ask you lighten it and charge for extra luggage
anyway.
So please be sensible
for the sake of a few quid and our drivers backs also your
embarrassment having to ask the landlord or land lady for some bin
liners to separate them, which then can be easily damaged aren't
very secure and could be easily mistaken for someone else's as the
bags wont be tagged.
Bags are picked up
from your hotel or B&B usually on the morning & we aim to
have the delivered to your next hotel by 16:00 hrs.
although we cannot
guarantee them to be there at that time most are delivered normally
by 15:00 hrs.
But as all our
vehicles are bought by us from new for reliability & with
anything that is mechanical you can guarantee it will brake down no
matter how new it is at some point & as you will be aware there
is very little mobile phone coverage when you get on them there
hills and pay phones are few and far between so recovery &
luggage forwarding can be very slow in this situation.
This year so far bags
have been delivered 97% on time.
mainly due to a few
new B&B,s which were very difficult to find as satnavs don't
pick up farm tracks leading to bunkhouses guest houses ect on farms
& some of the signs are so small or none existent, and also
local villagers are sometimes hard to find to ask for directions.
We are fast becoming the number one choice
for transporting passengers, Luggage & bike's cycles to
the start or from the finish of the C2C ..all along the coast to
coast route
Transporting from 1 - 59 cyclist's at any
given time with bikes & luggage to the start of the C2C at
Whitehaven or the W2W at Walney Island also most
other cycle routes around the northern half of the UK including
Barrow in Furness & Bowness on Solway from the lakes in the
West to Tynemouth Sunderland & Newcastlein the Northeast..
We are also offering a baggage/luggage
transfer service across the Pennines, but on occasions when we
are already over Whitehaven area dropping cyclist's off
calling into your hotel & transferring your luggage from the
western side of the Pennines making it a cost effective way for us
on the return journey & a less expensive way for cyclist's
to transfer there luggage..

park. If you stay at the Hotel the night before there is no charge
for leaving the car there - (otherwise £2.00 per day) but make sure
you leave the car registration or you risk getting clamped -
apparently it's very strictly controlled, so no leaving it to
chance.

What is the C2C ?
The Coast to Coast or the C2C as it is more commonly known is the
UK’s most popular long distance cycle route.
At 140 miles in length the route begins on the west coast of
Cumbria at either Whitehaven or Workington and finishes on the north
east coast at Sunderland or Tynemouth / Newcastle. C2C as in from
the Irish Sea to the North Sea.
Up to 15,000 cyclists make the crossing every year typically
completing the route in 3-5 days although some super fit ones manage
it in one day! The route usage increases each year, cylce tourism
certainly hasnt peaked in the UK!
The vast majority of the route is made up of cyclepaths, off road
sections and quiet country roads and although there are some urban
parts these account for very little of the trip.
The route starts in the former Industrial areas of West Cumbria,
travelling through the stunning scenery of the northern Lake
District before heading through the Eden valley and onto the
northern Pennines (the roof of England).
The route continues through several old lead mining villages and
down into the Durham dales before heading towards the finishing line
in the old industrial heartlands of the north east and journeys end
at either Newcastle or Sunderland.
The route is not without some challenging terrain providing some
hard climbs (the highest point being over 2,000 feet) but with some
basic training and a little willpower it should be achievable to
most.
Originally the route was set up as a flag ship back in 1994 after
development by Sustrans and the national cycle network in
partnership with various local authorities, groundwork West Cumbria,
North Pennines Tourism Partnership, Forest Enterprise and the Lake
District National park amongst others.
At various points along the route a number of sculptures and
public artworks have been commissioned to enhance the cyclist’s
enjoyment.
The C2C is best ridden from west to east to take advantage of the
prevailing winds and the more favourable gradients.
Tradition dictates that you start the ride by dipping your back
wheel in the Irish Sea and only finish when your front wheel gets a
dip in the North Sea at the other end.

free seats left within your group so other cyclist's can benefit
from this discounted form of transport also
IE there is three persons with cycles in your
group we would use a four seat vehicle cost per person would be £53:33p
each a total of £160:00 for the vehicle
but by advertising and filling the single seat
left the £160:00 is divided equally between 4 not 3 persons which
would make each share just £40:00 each saving each person in your
group over a tenner but also the one that joins you only pays £40
also instead of the £160:00 charge for 1-4 passengers saving them a
fortune & help the planet by sending one vehicle instead of two
halving the exhaust emissions and our carbon footprints
